Serious injuries were sustained in a multiple vehicle crash in Clinton County


CAMERON, Mo. - Over half a dozen people were involved in a multiple vehicle crash in Clinton County, just five miles south of Cameron.

According to the Missouri Highway State Patrol, a 2019 freightliner, a 2016 Ford F-150, and a 2016 Volkswagen Jetta, collided into the side of a 2012 Volvo Tractor Trailer after it lost control on southbound Interstate 35 and hit the guardrail on the left side of the roadway.

The crash occurred Sunday evening, under U.S. 69 Highway, blocking the southbound lanes of I-35. Two female passengers in the Volkswagen, 18-year-old Cassidy Harris and 43-year-old Cyreesa Harris, sustained serious injuries and were transported to Cameron Regional Medical Center.

Two male passengers who were also in the Volkswagen, ages six and 14, sustained serious injuries and were transported to Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City.
